There were 105 passengers and five crew members on board the Azerbaijan Airlines plane. At least six people survived.

A passenger plane flying from the Azerbaijani capital Baku to Russian Grozny crashed in the Kazakh city of Aktau. informburo.kz wrote this on Wednesday, December 25.

“A scheduled flight between Baku and Grozny crashed near Aktau. It was an Azerbaijan Airlines plane. The circumstances were clarified during a special investigation,” said the local Civil Aviation service.

According to media reports, the plane from Baku was redirected to Makhachkala and then to Aktau due to fog in Grozny. There were 105 passengers and five crew members on board the plane – all citizens of Russia and Azerbaijan.

At least six people survived. They are in very serious condition, the Kazakh Ministry of Health reported.

It is known that the cause of the plane crash was a collision of the plane with a flock of birds.

Recall that in Brazil, a plane with 10 people on board crashed into shops in the center of the tourist city of Gramado. Everyone on the plane died.
