Photos show at least one fuel tank burned as a result of a Ukrainian drone strike five days ago.
Ukrainian drones attacked the Novoshakhtinsky Oil Refinery in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation on December 19. As a result of the attack, at least one fuel tank was set on fire. This was reported by the Russian service Radio Libertywhich also published new satellite images of the aftermath of the attack.
“New satellite images show that at the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery in the Rostov region, at least one fuel tank caught fire as a result of a Ukrainian drone strike five days ago,” the report said.
The media recalled that this was not the first attack on this facility in particular, it was “visited” by drones in June 2024.
The Novoshakhtinsky Oil Refinery is the largest oil refinery in southern Russia and the only one in the Rostov region.
