The special coin design was developed by Daria Titova, a young Ukrainian refugee from Kharkov.
The Bank of Estonia began selling exclusive two-euro coins dedicated to Ukraine. Funds proceeds from the sale of coins will go to the Central Bank of Ukraine in support of the struggle for independence of the country. This was announced on Friday, July 8, on the official website of the Bank of Estonia.
The two-euro coin, dedicated to Ukraine and its independence, depicts a girl as a symbol of tenderness, who, in turn, holds a bird in her palm. The coin also depicts ears of grain.
The author of the coin design is a refugee from Ukraine, a resident of Kharkiv Daria Titova, a student of the art department of the Estonian Academy of Arts.
According to the author of the design, participating in the competition helped her cope with feelings of inadequacy.
“I felt bad, I felt guilty because I woke up from the sun, and many Ukrainians woke up to the sound of rockets and bombs. To express this feeling, I drew a girl on a coin protecting a bird in his hand, “she said of Daria Titova.

The Bank of Estonia plans to issue up to 40,000 coin cards. Each coin can be purchased by purchasing a coin card for 18 euros. If demand is higher, the bank is willing to increase circulation.
Specially designed coins will also go into general circulation later this year, when two million two-euro coins will be released into circulation.
Recall that the White House gift shop donated a collector’s coin in honor of the defenders of the Ukrainian island of Serpents.
