Students announced a boycott of the administration of the Institute of Journalism of KNU because of the scandal with professor Nikita Vasilenko.

    .

The day before, a video appeared on social networks in which Vasilenko spoke about “foreign peacekeepers” who could supposedly improve the demography of Ukraine. In his opinion, they will be of interest to thousands of hungry Ukrainian women.

The professor made this statement on the pro-Russian YouTube channel of the former host of the banned Newsone channel. Vasilenko has previously been accused of sexism and pro-Russian views.

The Ombudsman demands an official investigation into this case. He also recalled that last year the professor had already received a reprimand from the university.
