The Russian Oreshnik is not a new development, as Putin claims, but a rocket manufactured several years ago.
This was stated on Radio Donbass. Realities”, editor-in-chief of the military portal Defense Express Oleg Katkov.
Defense Express received from its own sources a photo of details of the missile that terrorists from Russia used to strike the Dnieper. Serial number and production date: April 2017.
This part called “EFIT” is an index for the control system unit. Possibly the missile itself, or the warhead separation block, or the final block of the Oreshnik itself. It was made in April 2017. So the rocket was produced at the same time. Probably, in 2018 the maximum will be in 2019, if we consider the most pessimistic option,” explains Katkov.
On November 21, Russia struck the Dnieper River with what Vladimir Putin said was a new missile called Oreshnik. He said it was retaliation for Kiev’s use of Western-made long-range missiles to attack targets in Russia after receiving permission from the United States.
