US President-elect Donald Trump has announced the appointment of television producer Mark Burnett as US special envoy to the UK. The politician announced this on his social network Truth Social.
Burnett, best known as the creator of the hit shows Survivor, Shark Tank and The Voice, has more than 13 Emmy awards and years of television production experience.
Trump praised Burnett, 64, and said he would focus on building diplomatic ties, especially in the areas of trade, investment and cultural exchange.
“With a distinguished career in television production and business, Mark brings a unique combination of diplomatic skills and international recognition to this important role. Mark will strive to improve diplomatic relations by focusing on mutual interests such as trade, investment opportunities and cultural exchange,” Trump wrote.
Let’s remember that Trump previously nominated billionaire and space tourist Jared Isaacman for the position of NASA director. And the politician appointed the CEO of the social network Truth Social, Devin Nunes, as the head of the US Presidential Intelligence Advisory Council.
