The woman is in a German clinic in serious condition, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgy Tikhy.
On December 21, a suspect was detained in Magdeburg for driving into a crowd at a Christmas market.
He turned out to be a 50-year-old psychotherapist from Saudi Arabia who moved to Germany in 2006. He criticized Islam and accused the German authorities of not doing enough against Islamism in the country.
So far it is known that as a result of the incident, 5 people were killed and another 205 were injured.
