Today, December 20, the Russian invaders fired about a thousand shells at Kherson in the morning.
The head of the Kherson OV Alexander Prokudin spoke about this on air at the national telethon.
From five in the morning, in about 40 minutes, about a thousand shells fell on Kherson alone,” Prokudin noted. “The enemy purposefully attacked residential buildings, social and critical infrastructure, and there were arrivals in all areas of the regional center.
According to him, as a result of the shelling the following were damaged:
- railway station;
- more than 30 multi-storey buildings;
- about 15 private houses;
- police administration buildings, educational and medical institutions;
- a large number of vehicles;
- garages and outbuildings.
Fires broke out almost everywhere and were already extinguished.
Two men died. Ten more people: seven men and three women were injured – they had blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and concussions. All victims are now in hospitals and receiving medical care. One injured man is in very serious condition.
