Air defense system and F-35s deployed in Poland to protect Ukraine aid hub

The NATO mission in Poland will last until Easter. 100 Norwegian soldiers will also be sent to the country.

The NASAMS air defense system and F-35 fighter jets were deployed to Rzeszow, Poland, to protect a logistics center for aid to Ukraine. The General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces reported this on Facebook.

NASAMS systems were transferred to Poland by Norway. The NATO mission will last until Easter.

Along with air defense systems and fighter jets, 100 Norwegian soldiers stationed in Rzeszow, where the logistics hub is located, will be sent to Poland.

Ukraine also received a NASAMS short-range anti-aircraft system from partners. They are also used in Norway, USA, Lithuania, Finland and the Netherlands.
