The State Emergency Service published a photo showing the consequences of a missile strike on a residential building in Krivoy Rog on the night of Friday, December 20. Local authorities reported five casualties.
Rescuers said a 38-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl were rescued from the rubble. Search and rescue operations have been completed.
Meanwhile, the head of the Krivoy Rog Defense Council, Alexander Vilkul, said that the number of victims has grown to five: “a girl 15 years old, two men 38 and 49 years old, and two women 30 and 82 years old this, two people were rescued from the ruins thanks to the patrol police and State Emergency Service.”
He added that many high-rise buildings and private houses were damaged in the vicinity. All the windows in the nearby hospital were broken. Patients are now being taken to other hospitals.
A relief headquarters is being set up in the area.
