Instead of MSEC, from January 1, 2025, expert commissions will work on cluster and supercluster hospitals.
The Verkhovna Rada abolished the medical and social expert commissions (MSEC) starting next year. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this on Telegram on Thursday, December 19.
“The Verkhovna Rada has generally adopted the liquidation of MSEC from 2025,” Zheleznyak wrote and added that the corresponding bill No. 12178 received 259 votes.
As you know, after the high-profile corruption scandals in Ukraine, they decided to liquidate MSEC. President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree that began the liquidation of MSEC as part of the reform of the state disability assessment system. The corresponding bill was presented to the Rada.
It is planned that the functions of MSEC will be carried out by the respective hospitals. And the previous day, the Ministry of Health announced that 1,348 expert teams have been formed in 286 hospitals to assess the daily functioning, which will replace the MSEC.
