Pavel Tkachuk was dismissed from his post as head of the National Academy of Land Forces.
The lieutenant general was dismissed from his post as head of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny by order of Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The Ministry of Defense reported this on December 18.
It is noted that during President Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to Lviv, Umerov reported to him on the results of an audit of the Main Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense regarding the activities of the National Academy of Ground Forces and numerous violations. The head of state ordered to immediately correct the current situation.
Today, by order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Pavel Tkachuk was dismissed from the post of head of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny, the defense department noted.
Let us remember that the academy cadets complained that they were beaten and humiliated by the head of the course, as well as poor nutrition and bullying. Also at the academy there was a so-called “company cash register” – cadets were forced to report various needs (purchase of a printer, paper, detergents, etc.). In addition, cadets were granted leave only if their parents or wife came to pick them up.
Law enforcement officers have already reported suspicion to the head of the training course of one of the faculties of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny, Artur Antoniv. This officer beat and humiliated the cadets for a year. All this happened on the territory of the academy in Lvov and barracks in one of the villages of the region.
