Molfar OSINT analysts analyzed attacks in the media and social networks on the largest Ukrainian charitable foundations from the beginning of the invasion to October 2024 (and another in November 2024).
We are talking about five foundations – United24, the Sergei Pritula Foundation, “Come Back Alive”, the KSE Foundation and the Petro Poroshenko Foundation, together with the NGO “Solidarity of Communities”.
The level of charitable contributions from Ukrainians in support of military needs this year decreased from 15% to 40%. Bloomberg media journalists recently wrote about this, citing comments from Ukrainian charitable foundations.
In addition to the reasons that the journalists list in their publication, there is one more that they did not mention and which they decided to explore in Molfar.
This reason works in the long term against the backdrop of a layer of acute negative aspects in public discussion. We are talking about attacks on charitable foundations in the media and social networks with the involvement of bot farms and even real opinion leaders to discredit the activities of the foundations.
Analysts found that 36% of attacks have a direct Russian trace.
The most attacks were recorded on the foundations of Sergei Pritula, United24 and “Come Back Alive”.
