One civilian died as a result of shelling in the Chernihiv region

Russians from the territory of the Russian Federation carried out artillery shelling of a settlement in one of the communities of the Novgorod-Seversky region.

The prosecutor’s office launched a pre-trial investigation into shelling in the border region of Chernihiv, which resulted in the death of a local resident. The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Wednesday, December 18.

According to the investigation, on December 17, around 20:00, Russian military personnel from the territory of the Russian Federation carried out artillery shelling of a settlement in one of the communities of the Novgorod-Seversky region .

As a result of the attack, a local man sustained non-life-threatening shrapnel wounds and died at the scene.

Information about other injuries is still being clarified.

“Novgorod-Seversky OP GUNP investigators in the Chernihiv region and prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document the war crimes committed of representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation,” the message added.

We remind you that the other day Russian troops attacked the city of Kupyansk. As a result of the shooting, one civilian died and another was hospitalized in a medical facility in serious condition.

Earlier, Russian aggressors launched two missile attacks on the city of Zlatopol in the Lozovsky district. A total of 10 people were injured.
