The planned trip shows Trump’s desire to end the war between Ukraine and Russia as soon as possible.

US President-elect Donald Trump’s new special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, will visit Kyiv in early January. This was reported by Reuters citing sources.

Kellogg is scheduled to meet with senior Ukrainian officials in Kyiv. In addition, his team is now working to arrange meetings with other European leaders in Rome and Paris. At the same time, Trump’s special envoy does not plan to fly to Moscow.

According to the agency’s interlocutors, the meetings were aimed at “establishing the facts” rather than at active negotiations.

The planned trip illustrates the urgency Trump has given to ending the war in Ukraine, Reuters wrote.

Let’s remember that Trump considers ending the war in Ukraine as his top priority after taking office. According to media reports, the team of the elected US President is talking to the White House and Ukrainian officials on ways to end the war with Russia.
