The Ministry of Defense will find out why the investigation into the scandal in the brigade of the Military Law Enforcement Service took so long.
The Main Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense will investigate the facts of abuse of military personnel in the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of the department, Rustem Umerov, announced this on Telegram on Monday, December 16.
“Delaying investigations, family contracts, extortion, oppression of military personnel – this is unacceptable in the third year of the war, therefore, by my order, the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Defense immediately began work, which will examine the facts set out in the Ukrainskaya Pravda article about the situation in the 211 pontoon-bridge brigade of the Support Forces Ukrainian Armed Forces,” said the minister.
Umerov added that it is also planned to establish why the investigation into the scandal in the brigade of the Military Law Enforcement Service took so long.
The head of the Ministry of Defense recalled that the department will soon present a bill to a military ombudsman, which will protect the rights of the military.

In view of what is happening, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, initiated an inspection of the 211th brigade.
