In the Georgian ski resort of Gudaura, the bodies of 12 people were found on the premises of an Indian restaurant. We are talking about 11 foreigners and one citizen of Georgia. Echo of the Caucasus reported this on Saturday, December 14, in relation to the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The deceased were in the sleeping area on the second floor of the restaurant. According to preliminary data, all those who died were his employees.
It was also stated that there were no external signs of violence on the bodies. At the same time, according to preliminary information from the investigation, a generator was installed in a closed room near the bedrooms, which was probably turned on the day before after the electricity was cut off in the restaurant.
Now forensic experts are working at the scene, law enforcement officers are interviewing witnesses. A forensic medical examination was ordered to determine the exact cause of death. A criminal case was initiated in the incident under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of Georgia – “causing death by negligence.”
Earlier it was reported that in Lviv, two cafe employees were poisoned by carbon monoxide from a generator.
