The High Qualifications Commission of Judges (HKKSU) announced the selection of 1,800 positions of judges.
This selection for the positions of judges of local courts is already being called historical. After all, we are talking about updating about a third of the judiciary, Andriy Pasechnik, head of the VKKSU, said at a press conference in Ukrinform on December 13.
Key selection time frames:

March 2025: submission of documents for participation in the competition

April 2025: admission of candidates to the competition

Summer 2025: passing the qualifying exam
- End of summer 2025: competition ends
Requirements for candidates: higher legal education, 5 years of experience in the field of law, age from 30 to 65 years, knowledge of the Ukrainian language, and most importantly: competence and virtue.
