Massive Russian attack on Ukraine: Poland takes to the skies

Fighter planes were scrambled in the skies, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance assets were put on the highest alert.

The operational command deployed all the forces and means at its disposal, the next pairs of fighters were scrambled, and the ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance assets were brought to the highest state of readiness.

“The measures taken are aimed at ensuring security in the territories adjacent to the threatening areas the operational command monitors the current situation, and the subordinate forces and assets are in full readiness for an immediate response ,” the Polish military said.
