According to the National Information Bureau, Ukraine has confirmed the deportation or forced migration of 19,546 Ukrainian children.
It is possible to return another child from the Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by the Russians to the land controlled by Kyiv. This was announced on Thursday, December 12, by the Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Daria Zarbvna.
He said the child returned was a boy, Dmitry. He, along with his mother and grandmother, met the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the temporarily occupied territories. Due to the grandmother’s serious illness, the family could not evacuate in time.
“The lack of communication and the Internet did not allow Dmitry to continue his studies during several weeks of interruptions in the supply of electricity and water that created unbearable living conditions in such an environment, the boy could not imagine his future , because there is no opportunity for education or development,” he said.
In the territory controlled by Ukraine, the boy was met by a relative who would give him additional support. The child’s mother was forced to stay at VOT to take care of her sick grandmother.
“Now that Dmitry is safe, he has started making plans for the future and dreams of meeting friends,” Zarovna said.
As part of the President’s initiative, Bring Kids Back UA managed to bring back another child from the temporarily occupied territory of the Lugansk region.
We remind you that Ukraine managed to return 1002 children from Russian territory and temporarily occupied lands, but the Russian Federation forcibly expelled about 20 thousand more.
