The power unit from the Estonian Auvere power plant is capable of providing electricity to 150 thousand people.
A power unit from the Estonian power plant will soon arrive in Ukraine. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced this on Telegram following negotiations with the head of the Estonian government, Kristen Michal, on Monday, December 9.
In the near future, a power unit from the Estonian Auvere power plant will arrive in Ukraine, capable of providing electricity to 150 thousand people. We are discussing the transfer of two more power units to Ukraine in 2025,” he wrote.
Shmygal noted that through the EU civil protection mechanism, Estonia provided Ukraine with more than 140 transformers and another 300 units of energy equipment.
It was previously reported that Estonia has provided Ukraine with defense support in the amount of 542 million euros or 1.4% of the country’s GDP since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. Over the next three years, Estonia will give Ukraine 0.25% of its GDP, amounting to 100 million euros.
