We are talking about special units, the Lyut brigade, and joint units fighting alongside the National Guard. These are thousands of police officers – 10% of all law enforcement officers.
Ukraine’s Interior Minister Igor Klimenko said that units of the National Guard, border guards and the National Police are still on the battle line. They evacuate civilians. He said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, some units in the Defense Forces have been for several months. We are talking about special units, the Lyut brigade, and joint units fighting alongside the National Guard.
“These are thousands of police officers – 10% of all law enforcement officers, about 10 thousand police officers are fighters who are on the front line,” said Klimenko.
He added that there are 25 thousand law enforcement officers in the combat zone on a permanent basis, evacuating people and working at checkpoints.
“A wide range of work outside of police activities is 40-45,000 continue to be in the combat zone and front-line regions And we are talking about the border areas, where the State Border Service is located and police units said.
Klymenko also said that out of 100 thousand, 25% of the National Police are women, and another 17% are people who have not yet reached the age of mobilization.
“Now you can easily count the 45 thousand that I said, 25 thousand are women and 17% have not yet reached the mobilization age. That means, almost all the forces of the National Guard are involved. The guard is involved in combat missions, and half of the State border service is involved,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
We remind you that Klimenko also said that the police have their own law enforcement duties, so TCC employees can carry out mobilization tasks without the police.
