Ukraine hit or damaged a third of Russia’s fuel sector facilities.
We are talking about oil refineries fueling Russian military equipment, selling petroleum products to finance the war. Already, the occupiers are facing problems in restoring fuel sector facilities, a third of which the Ukrainian Defense Forces have already managed to destroy. A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Andrei Yusov, stated this in an interview with the Center for Countering Disinformation.
A third are damaged to one degree or another, he noted.
According to him, problems with restoration arose due to imported equipment, because it is very difficult to get it under sanctions.
Yusov also said that restricting the import of fuels and lubricants in Russia indicates that the enemy is experiencing the consequences of the attacks.
Let us recall that in August the Omsk Oil Refinery, which is one of the largest such plants in Russia and produces 21.6 million tons of oil per year, disabled almost half of the enterprise’s capacity. Then the plant’s most productive primary oil refining unit, AVT-11, was damaged and shut down.
