Alexander Lomako submitted his resignation from the position of Secretary of the Chernigov City Council and asked to consider it at the next session of the City Council.
Secretary of Chernigov City Council, acting mayor Alexander Lomako has written a letter of resignation. He said this in a video message on Saturday, November 7.
According to Lomako, “officials from the military administrations” seem to have “held the city hostage” and demanded his resignation from his elected position.
“To free Chernihiv from the captives, today, on the day of local self-government, I submit my resignation from the position of secretary of the City Council and ask to consider it at the next session,” he said.
Previously, law enforcement officers repeatedly searched for Alexander Lomako. The last time the legality of his trip abroad was checked.
Also in September, searches were conducted in the city council of Chernigov in connection with the illegal allocation of a land plot.
