British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers amid the widespread resignation of heads of British departments. The BBC reported this on Thursday, July 7th.
The media added that Johnson decided to undertake a complete change of government. Now he has to announce his decision in a briefing that will start at 14:30 (Kyiv time).
The Sun reported that Boris Johnson has called on the Queen of Great Britain to announce his intention to leave the position of Prime Minister.
Bloomberg added that Johnson is reconsidering whether he will remain acting UK prime minister after resigning or letting someone else take over. The Conservative Party is currently electing a new leader. Politicians suggest Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab will be Johnson’s successor.
So far, more than 50 ministers and officials have left the Johnson government. The head of the British government himself could also resign.
It will be recalled that, according to media reports, Johnson will now announce his resignation.
It was previously reported that nearly four dozen members of the British government had written their resignations in less than a day.
