The Ukrainian air shield has received additional reinforcements from Denmark, Vladimir Zelensky said.
Ukraine received the second batch of F-16 fighters from Denmark. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on Telegram on Saturday, December 7.
“The second batch of F-16 for Ukraine from Denmark is already in Ukraine. This is the leadership in protecting life that characterizes Denmark,” he wrote.
According to Zelensky, the planes provided by the Danes from the first batch are already shooting down Russian missiles and saving Ukrainians and the infrastructure of our country.
Now our air shield is much stronger. If all partners are very decisive, it is possible to make it impossible to fear Russia,” stressed the President of Ukraine.
Vladimir Zelensky thanked Danish Prime Minister Matte Fredriksen, his team and the people of Denmark.
We remind you that in July Ukraine received the first F-16 fighter. According to media reports, it was about six combat vehicles. In total, Denmark promised to provide Ukraine with 19 aircraft.
It was also reported that in October Ukraine received F-16s from the Netherlands.
