Czech volunteers from Group D, as part of the Drony Nemesis initiative, have collected more than 203.7 million crowns (more than 8 million euros) for drones for Ukraine in less than a year. This was reported on the Drony Nemesis website.
It was noted that 20 thousand FPV drones were purchased with this money. 15 thousand have been sold, of which 12 thousand have already been transferred to the Ukrainian army, another three thousand will be delivered for Christmas.
The collection was announced two days before Christmas last year.
“The unity of the Czech people makes us happy,” commented one of the founders of the group, the famous Czech actor Ondrej Vethy, at a press conference in Prague on the results of the collection, recalling that the first goal is to collect 100 million crowns.
In addition, activists this week presented a new project, Operation Just Retribution, whose goal is to raise funds for the purchase of 100 tons of plastic explosives and other engineering and pyrotechnic materials for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. About 84 thousand crowns were deposited into the account; It will be given to the Ukrainian defenders through the Ukrainian Embassy in Prague.
The Group D organization was created by the Czech military with volunteers. It is headed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, Karel Rzek.
