The updated project aims to significantly expand the functionality of the eCherga system and modernize it.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution to extend the project eCherga to reserve border crossing time for another two years. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
It was learned that the new pilot project will focus on scaling the system for all types of vehicles, improving the issue of priority passage at the border and automatically verifying some information obtained by the carrier.
Within the framework of the new project it is planned:
-
measure service on all types of vehicles crossing the border (passenger cars, trucks under 7.5 tons);
-
carry out integration with related systems to ensure priority in the queue in accordance with the Joint Transit Convention (T1) of companies exporting goods in accordance with the TIR system or having an authorized economic status;
-
provide automatic verification of a number of information at the time of registration in the system, for example, the presence of an insurance policy (“green card”).
The updated project aims to significantly expand the functionality of the system eCherga and modernize it.
Let us remind you that the online border crossing booking system eCherga began to operate in Ukraine from May 2023. It was introduced at checkpoints with the countries of the European Union and Moldova.
