While performing a combat mission, musician and warrior Yuri Melofon died.
As musicians, he was known for his remixes, which he created with his colleague, singer Lavika (real name Lyubov Yunosha).
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Yura was the first of all my friends to write to me and ask what was needed for a volunteer. He lived in Odessa and somehow very quickly collected his thoughts while I was coming to my senses and was in a stupor. Yura did so many good deeds and even when he was at the front he was always the first to write, asking how he was doing and how he was doing, and when my brother died, he agitated his entire battalion to join the Action and publicize my petition so that votes would be collected. He asked not to give up on this matter, because “my brother fought, and you fight too,” the singer wrote.
As bartender Ilya Khrebtov said, in 2022, he and Melofon began transporting water to Nikolaev when the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the water supply system, Novinarnya writes.
Subsequently, the musician joined the 35th Brigade as a volunteer. He is survived by his wife and son.
