Young people aged 16-21 are looking for better living conditions, self-realization, job prospects and quality education.

A third of Ukrainians (32%) aged 16 to 35 would like to live abroad if possible. 45% – do not like. This is confirmed by the results of a survey of the Sociological group Rating.

Mostly, people from eastern regions, small towns, internally displaced, men, youth aged 22-25, and students want to leave.

The main reasons for leaving are safety, the opportunity to earn more, and opportunities for children. Better living conditions and travel opportunities are also quite important.

This is often explained by village residents who want to go abroad for the opportunity to earn more and better jobs abroad.

Compared to other age groups, for young people aged 16-21, the motive for migration is usually the search for better living conditions, self-realization, job prospects and quality education.

In terms of gender, women often justify their desire to go abroad with safety reasons and opportunities for children, and men with travel opportunities and prospects for self-realization .

The survey was conducted on September 4-6 among 2,000 respondents aged 16 to 35 years living in all regions except the temporarily occupied territories.

We remind you that the United States has said that Ukraine must lower the age of mobilization to 18 years. The Office of the President said that Ukraine is not preparing to lower the age of mobilization from the current 25 years to 18 years.
