The Netherlands is allocating an additional 22 million euros to Ukraine for defense and cybersecurity needs. This was announced by Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp.
“During yesterday’s meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, I noted the importance of strengthening Ukraine’s military potential that the Netherlands allocates an additional 22 million euros for projects aimed at air defense and cyber resilience in Ukraine,” he said.
Veldkamp added that Russia’s actions directly threaten NATO. In this regard, he mentioned the “build-up of military presence, airspace incursions and acts of sabotage.”
“We must also be concerned that third countries are contributing to Russia’s military machine. This requires a more decisive and coordinated response from NATO and its members. First of all, we must continue our course in support of Ukraine. There is no alternative,” said the head of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Earlier, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced the supply of three Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) to Ukraine.
We remind you that the Dutch authorities have allocated another 271 million euros for military aid to Ukraine. All this money will go to the artillery.
