About three thousand military personnel have returned to duty via microwave in the last 72 hours.
Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Grinchuk, announced this on December 3 at a briefing at the Ministry of Defense.
He clarified that the military resumed service in accordance with the algorithm provided for by the law on the voluntary return of those who left their unit without permission or deserted for the first time, which came into force on November 29.
There are cases of misunderstanding and incorrect qualification by the commander of military actions:
Disobedience, failure to comply with orders and they are sent to the SZCh.
Earlier, the DBR assured that military personnel who return to their units after the SZCh before January 1 will have their benefits, monetary and material support restored in full, and the criminal case against them will be closed.
Let us remind you that military personnel who committed self-defense or desertion must return to service before January 1, 2025. The corresponding law No. 4087-IX was signed by President Vladimir Zelensky.
During martial law:
- Military personnel who voluntarily left military units/places of service for the first time and returned voluntarily (no later than
01/01/2025 g.), will be able to continue military service. - Then the military service/contract continues.
- Payments of cash, food, clothing and other types of support are also being resumed.
- From the moment of service extension, benefits and guarantees established by law are resumed.
The implementation of the law will not lead to the release of military personnel from criminal liability.
