Russian authorities are building a third air defense tower next to the Kerch Bridge.
The Center for Investigative Journalism writes about this.
The towers consist of a transforming tower with a ladder and a metal frame holding the combat module of the Pantsir-S1M air defense missile system, the Center says. They published a photo taken at the end of November, which showed the inside of the third tower approximately near the 10th span of the bridge.
The first two towers from the Pantsir-S1M were discovered at the end of September 2024 near the viaduct on the island of Tuzla, installed approximately in the middle of the same month, journalists say. In November, they also reported that the line of metal “hedgehogs” near the Kerch Bridge had increased to 1.5 km.
