Only Ukrainians located on the territory of Ukraine can receive one thousand hryvnias from the state.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal said that the winter aid in the amount of one thousand hryvnias does not apply to Ukrainians abroad. If they give it, they have to return the money. He said it on air at the telethon.
The head of government suggested that there may be a “minimal number” of Ukrainians abroad who will apply for one thousand hryvnias.
“But we will conduct an audit, and such people, as happened in previous times, will return the money. Therefore, we recommend not to abuse these things,” Shmygal emphasized.
He added that only Ukrainians located on the territory of Ukraine can receive a thousand hryvnias from the state. First, citizens confirm that they are on the territory of Ukraine in a declarative manner, and then this is verified using registries, geolocation, and other software methods.
Let’s remember that at the end of October, President Vladimir Zelensky announced new payments to Ukrainians within 1,000 hryvnias per person.
Subsequently, the Ministry of Economy said how to get this “thousand from Zelensky.”
