The Russians sent another military leader, General Alexander Chaiko, to lead Russian forces in Syria.
Russian troops are losing the battle in Syria. At the same time, Moscow changed the commander of the forces in Syria. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reported this on Telegram.
“Behind the losses and panic among Russian troops in Syria, the Kremlin fired the commander of its group in the Arab republic, General Sergei Kisel,” the report said.
The latter distinguished himself by his disastrous actions for the Russian Federation during the mass invasion of Ukraine, for which he was also removed from his post and then sent on a Syrian business trip.
Instead of Kisel, another military commander was sent to command the Russian forces in Syria – General Alexander Chaiko, who commanded a group of Russian troops in Syria in 2017-2019.
Intelligence said the commander of the Russian Navy, Admiral Alexander Moiseev, also appeared at the naval base in Tartus.
“After three days of successful offensive actions by pro-Turkish forces in Syria, Russian troops suffered heavy losses, several units of the aggressor state were surrounded by Hundreds of Muscovites listed as missing in Syria, ” added GUR.
We remind you that the Syrian authorities have announced the “temporary withdrawal of troops” from the city of Aleppo. Media reported that rebels control more than 50 settlements in Idlib and Aleppo provinces.
