After capturing the city of Aleppo and the entire province of Idlib, the rebels took control of several settlements in the north of the province of Hama and located eight kilometers from the center of the city of Hama.
Syrian rebels are expanding their zone of control and moving into the central-western province of Hama. The Turkish Anadolu agency reported this on Saturday, November 30.
“By retaking most of the city of Aleppo and the entire province of Idlib from the hands of regime forces. [Асада]armed groups are advancing towards [городу] Hama, which is located in the south of Idlib and is under the control of the regime,” wrote Turkish journalists.
According to the publication, on Saturday the rebels captured the city of Khan Sheikhoun in the south of Idlib province and continued their advance, controlling several settlements in the north of Hama province. In particular, villages such as Taibat al-Imam, Kafr Zaita, Kafr Nbuda, Khilfaya, Kalat Madik, Latamne, Soran, Kirnez, Mardes, Hamayet, Termal and Morik were named.
According to Anadolu, the rebels are now 8 kilometers away from the center of Hama, where they are fighting government forces.
Meanwhile, Syrian TV is reporting that Bashar al-Assad has returned to Syria. He was in Moscow, where he met Putin.
As reported, today the Syrian authorities announced a “temporary withdrawal of troops” from the city of Aleppo. Media reported that rebels control more than 50 settlements in Idlib and Aleppo provinces.
