Protesters began building barricades near the Georgian Parliament building. They use iron fence sheets.
According to BBC correspondents, at least several tens of thousands of people came to Rustaveli Avenue.
There are more protesters than the day before, when the police dispersed the demonstrators using special means.
On Saturday evening, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs published a statement according to which “the actions of some rally participants have become aggressive.” Such a warning usually occurs before acceleration, notes the NewsGeorgia portal.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that an illegitimate parliament cannot elect a new president.
Therefore, her tenure will continue until the election of a new president by the new parliament.
Meanwhile, protesters gathered under the parliament building in Tbilisi again and began building barricades, Radio Liberty’s Echo of the Caucasus project reported.
