In Transcarpathia, three people were killed as a result of a grenade explosion.
The event occurred yesterday, November 29, the press service of the National Police reports.
On November 29 at 22.39, a 14-year-old resident of the village of Maly Berezny, Uzhgorod district, called the police. The teenager reported that he found his grandfather’s body on the floor in the room and could not explain the situation more clearly, the police said.
It is noted that law enforcement officers who arrived on call found the bodies of three people in the middle of the room:
- the applicant’s 32-year-old mother;
- his 55-year-old grandmother;
- 70 year old grandfather.
As a result of carrying out priority measures, the police established that the victims had been drinking alcoholic beverages that evening. During the feast, a 32-year-old Transcarpathian woman picked up a grenade of unknown origin and tore off the ring, resulting in an explosion. All three people who were in the room died, police said.
During an inspection of the scene, police found three more grenades hidden in the house; they were seized.
Information on this fact was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code. The origin of the ammunition is being established, and the pre-trial investigation continues.
