Luxembourg continues to support Ukraine financially and militarily, investing in weapons, pilot training and joint defense projects.
Luxembourg has allocated more than 200 million euros for Ukraine for the purchase of Ukrainian weapons from February 2022. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Integration of Ukraine in the EU, Maria Mezentseva, on the air of We-Ukraine .
The country plans to allocate another 80 million euros for 2025.
“Luxembourg, for the first time in the history of this small but rich state, has decided on direct financing: more than 200 million euros have been allocated since February 2022, and another 80 million have been given for the purchase of Ukrainian weapons in 2025. This includes drones and surveillance systems, and electronic warfare systems,” Mezentseva said.
Luxembourg is also working on a common project in the field of satellite communications and drone production, especially in its own territory.
The state has become part of the IT cluster and the F-16 coalition, investing in the training of Ukrainian pilots.
The deputy also said that, despite the small size of the parliament, Luxembourg shows incredible courage through active cooperation with the EU, NATO and Ukraine in the defense sector.
We remind you that Luxembourg has joined the Drone Coalition, becoming the seventeenth country to support the initiative.
Earlier it became known that Denmark will finance the Ukrainian defense industry with 130 million euros.
