In the temporarily occupied Lugansk region, representatives of Russian security forces intensified repressive measures against the local population in 2024.
The press service of the Lugansk Public Educational Institution reported this today, November 29.
It is noted that the choice of a victim by Rashidists does not depend on the presence or absence of a Russian passport:
- mostly locals are accused of working for the Ukrainian special services, participating in terrorist organizations or their financing, and collaborating with other states;
- in addition, Lugansk residents are accused of inciting hatred or failing to report to the occupiers about persons who allegedly committed a crime under the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Almost everyone who remained in the occupation can fall under the latter, the OVA emphasizes.
According to OVA information, in the last two months alone in the occupied Luhansk region, the invaders opened 68 criminal proceedings on these grounds.
Security forces from Russia, who come to the region on a business trip, are thus trying in every possible way to prove themselves and improve the statistics of the bodies they represent, neglecting human destinies, note the Lugansk Police Department.
