In Transcarpathia, a law enforcement officer was exposed for helping men of military age cross the state border for $10,000. It was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.
It was noted that at the end of October, the defendant was approached by an acquaintance who, together with a friend, wanted to leave Ukraine illegally. The law enforcement officer offered his services and for 10 thousand dollars promised not only to give him a ride to the Hungarian border, but also to show him where to go and how to cross the border without being noticed.
The men arrived in Mukachevo on the agreed day, where they handed the law enforcement officer the first half of the amount – 5 thousand dollars. He should receive the rest from the parents of the “client” after successfully crossing the border.
The law enforcer took the men to the border zone in his own car and gave clear instructions for their further movement. However, the border guards still detained them.
A law enforcement officer was also arrested during the search, the money he received was confiscated, as well as a mobile phone and car.
