Ukrainian citizens have been detained in the east of the country as part of an investigation into a wave of mining attacks and threats to critical infrastructure.
Two Ukrainian citizens have been detained in Slovakia as part of an investigation into a wave of bypasses and threats to critical infrastructure. This was said by the head of the Slovak Information Service, Pavel Gaspar, the local publication Aktuality reports.
According to him, the Ukrainians were detained on Tuesday, November 26, but at the moment it is impossible to give more specific information about the case and the investigation.
Local media earlier reported the detention of a Ukrainian in the town of Michalovce in eastern Slovakia and searches for another Ukrainian citizen in the nearby village of Vinne.
Gaspar’s statement came after a meeting of the Slovak Security Council, which discussed the recent wave of hybrid attacks and threats to schools and public buildings.
He also says that Slovakia is “the only country that has identified the potential perpetrator of bomb threats.”
We remind you that in October, hundreds of organizations across Ukraine on Monday, October 14, received letters about “mining.” The author of the messages recalled the three journalists of Radio Liberty, on whom he “lays the blame” for the alleged impending bombing.
