It was previously reported that the submarine cable between Finland and Germany had been damaged, resulting in a disruption of telecommunications between the countries.

Subsequently, another damaged submarine communication cable was discovered between Lithuania and Sweden in the Baltic Sea.

The Danish Navy has detained the Chinese cargo ship Yi Peng 3. It is suspected of damaging two telecommunications cables in the Baltic Sea. After that, they forwarded to the law enforcers the information gathered after examining the seabed in the area where the underwater communication cable was damaged.
