The Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces are selecting targets for destruction by Oreshnik on the territory of Ukraine; these could be decision-making centers in Kyiv.
This statement was made on November 28 in Kazakhstan by Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin.
According to him, Russia will continue to test Oreshnik in response to long-range missile strikes in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. Russia allegedly has several Oreshnik missile systems ready for use. Putin announced that mass production of these missiles has begun.
There are no analogues to the Russian Oreshnik in the world, and they will not appear soon, Putin assured.
At the CSTO summit, the dictator was a broadcaster. In addition to the threats regarding Oreshnik, he said that Russia had launched 100 missiles from Ukraine in two days in response to strikes deep into Russia. According to him, Russia produces 10 times more missiles than all NATO countries combined, and will increase production by a quarter, and Iskander is an analogue of all three modifications of ATACMS, and the range of the Russian system is even greater. American missiles are inferior in their characteristics to Russian ones.
Meanwhile, US intelligence is convinced that allowing Ukraine to fire Western weapons deep into Russia has not increased the risk of nuclear escalation.
But Reuters interlocutors believe Russia is likely to “expand its campaign of provocations” against European targets to increase pressure on the West over its support for Kyiv.
