United States calls on Kyiv to act from age 18 – media

Ukraine is mobilizing insufficient numbers of recruits, according to the US presidential administration.

The United States believes that Ukraine should lower the age of mobilization to 18 years. This was reported by Reuters in connection with an unnamed senior representative of the US presidential administration.

He argues that Ukraine is not mobilizing or training enough soldiers to fight Russia. That is why according to the official, the ranks of the personnel need to be replenished.

“The Russians are really advancing, continuing to advance in the east, and they’re starting to push back Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region…The mobilization and increase in personnel could significantly change the situation on the battlefield right now, ” said a representative of the US presidential administration.

As you know, in Ukraine men from 25 to 60 years old are liable for military service. This spring, the mobilization age dropped from 27 to 25 years.

We remind you that President Vladimir Zelensky said that currently the authorities are not preparing to lower the age of mobilization.
