Ukraine asked Poland to give it a consulate in Poznan.
Kyiv is interested in obtaining the premises of the Russian Consulate General in Poznan after it is closed. The building will be closed because the Polish authorities have recognized diplomats from the aggressor country as undesirable persons in this city. Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga announced this to Ukrinform on November 27.
Ukraine is interested in obtaining the use of the premises of the former Russian Consulate General in Poznan. “I am grateful to my Polish colleague for this proposal,” he noted.
Sibiga said that Ukraine has already sent a note to Poland with a corresponding request and is awaiting a response.
According to the minister, there are many Ukrainian citizens in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, so we consider Poznan as one of the possible locations for expanding the consular presence in Poland.
Let us remind you that President Vladimir Zelensky and the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Andriy Sibiga are preparing a large-scale appointment of ambassadors. In almost 30 countries, the positions of Ukrainian ambassadors are still vacant.
