The Russian FSB was planning a large-scale sabotage in the Kirovograd region.

    .

A Russian agent tried to burn down an electrical substation that supplies a military airfield and other strategic facilities in the region. The attacker turned out to be a 21-year-old local resident, who was remotely recruited by the Russian intelligence service in August 2024, when the young man wrote pro-Kremlin comments in the Telegram channels of the aggressor country. The SBU press center reported this on November 27.

After completing the test tasks, the occupiers ordered the traitor to enter the territory of a key electrical substation in the Kirovograd region and set it on fire using a flammable mixture, and then stop the fire. This station fed the military airfield. The Russians promised to pay him 200 thousand for this. Russian rubles.

The detainee has already been informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
