A series of tests is currently underway to establish in detail all the characteristics of the new type of Russian weapons, as well as to find out possible ways of responding to such a move by the aggressor.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an evening speech that Ukraine, together with international partners, is conducting research on a new missile that was shot down by Russian troops in the Dnieper. It was announced on Sunday, November 24.
The head of state noted that the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have already shown rocket debris to journalists. Currently, a series of tests is underway to establish in detail all the characteristics of this new type of weapon, as well as to find out the possible ways of responding to such a move by the aggressor.
The President emphasized that the modern air defense system exists to protect against such threats.
“The consequences are in our actions at the front, our soldiers, our units. And also the consequences in the actions of the world. In the way the world responds. We cannot give Putin a week to adapt and find a counter. We must continue to do everything so that Russia is forced to seek the possibility of peace.
Let’s recall that on November 21, Russian troops struck the territory of Ukraine for the first time with an Oreshnik ballistic missile. This is what Russian leader Vladimir Putin said in his speech to the Russian people.
In this regard, President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that Russia used a new weapon – all its characteristics indicate that it is an intercontinental ballistic missile.
A video of a powerful missile attack on the Dnieper also appeared online.
