Due to misinformation about the supposed “profound breakthroughs”, the unprepared attack on the ranks resulted in heavy losses.
The commander of the group of Russian troops in the South, Colonel General Gennady Anashkin, was removed from his post due to problems with the direction of the Seversky front and unjustified losses. The opposition publication The Moscow Times reported this on Saturday, November 23, with reference to several Z-channels on Telegram.
“The reason is still the same – the situation in the direction of Seversk: the high command is deceived, the real situation is hidden, because the units of the South are also fighting near Seversk,” one of the channels reported.
According to him, the commanders in this direction hid real losses and reported false information about the situation at the front. In addition to Anashkin, the chief of staff, the commander of the 3rd combined arms army, and the commanders of the 123rd and 7th motorized rifle brigades lost their posts.
“Recently, false reports about supposedly deep successful victories first began to arrive from near Seversk, and then unprepared attacks on the ranks of the enemy’s positions began, which lead to heavy losses and little results,” another channel clarified.
The publication notes that the Russian Ministry of Defense has not officially announced either Anashkin’s appointment or his dismissal.
We remind you that according to the latest data, Russia lost about 730 thousand military personnel in the war. In the previous day, the losses of the Russian invaders at the front amounted to 1,420 people.
The previous day, Ukrainian intelligence assessed the size of the Russian army on the territory of our country. Only part of the land reaches about 580 thousand military personnel.
