“Zelensky’s Thousand” will cost the state budget billions of hryvnia.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved UAH 5 billion for the implementation of the Winter Support Plan. The money will be transferred from a program financed by the National Cashback to a program that will issue a thousand hryvnia to the population. People’s Deputy Alexey Goncharenko announced this on November 22 in Telegram.
According to his information, citizens will be able to receive 1 thousand UAH either in electronic format or at Ukrposhta – for citizens who are in the territory of active hostilities.
The Cabinet of Ministers noted that cashback for December 2024 will be received in February 2025 if funds are allocated for this. If the money is not allocated, then the cashback for December will not come.
As you know, on October 25, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced that from December 1, Ukrainians will receive 1 thousand UAH to pay for Ukrainian services and goods. This payment was popularly called Zelensky’s thousand.
Let us remind you that the Verkhovna Rada reported that the remaining funds of the Compulsory State Social Insurance Fund, which were formed last year and were not used by the Ministry of Economy this year, will be spent on the payment of 1 thousand UAH to each Ukrainian from December 1, 2024 announced by President Vladimir Zelensky.
